Ludaix Toile
Blue
The wallpaper pattern is a delicate and intricate design from the mid-nineteenth century, discovered hidden inside an armoire in the attic of Chateau Ludaix in France by its current owners upon their acquisition of the estate. The pattern features an elegant interplay of birds and bamboo, reflecting the exotic influences that were popular during that era.

COLOURED IN HOUSE
Our journey begins in quiet archives and forgotten drawers, where we uncover fragments of the past—wallpapers and fabrics from grand houses and countryside manors of the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. These historical designs, once hand-drawn and block-printed, whisper of another time. We listen carefully.
Each pattern is lovingly restored, then reimagined. In our studio, we breathe new life into these age-old motifs, choosing colours by hand—sometimes echoing the originals, sometimes boldly reinventing them. The result is a collection that’s both timeless and entirely new.
